Social Media Wellness – – helping tweens and teens thrive in an unbalanced digital world

In today’s “always-on” digital culture, many of today’s students face a challenge, the very tools they need to get their work done – tablets and computers – are often their biggest distraction.  Students can quickly become overwhelmed and stressed out trying to manage their daily lives of online interactions with schoolwork and family life. Teri Knight’s guest today is noted author and educator Ana Homayoun with her insightful new book, “Social Media Wellness – helping tweens and teens thrive in an unbalanced digital world”.  She discusses how kids define themselves by the “likes” of other kids, how it affects their real life world, how educators and parents are talking with their kids/students? She offers lots of tools to navigate.   http://www.anahomayoun.com/
