Three Candidates for the 3rd judicial district have been announced by the Commission on Judicial Selection. The vacancy occurred upon Judge Thomas Neuville’s retirement. The candidates are Adam Dowd: He is a solo practitioner who focuses on civil litigation and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at St. Olaf College. He was previously City Attorney for Dundas, among other things. Jeffrey Johnson is the Third Judicial District Chief Public Defender, where he services. Johnson serves on the steering committees for the Steele-Waseca and Olmsted Treatment Courts, as well as the advisory boards for Rice County Community Corrections and Dual Recovery. And Christopher Neisen: He is a managing partner with Wornson, Goggins, Neisen, Morris & Brever, P.C. Additionally, he was recently appointed a Deputy Scott County Examiner of Titles. Previously, Neisen was a First Judicial District Child Support Magistrate and a city prosecutor for New Prague.
