Notice of Road Closure: Rice County State Aid Highway No. 1 Reconstruction April 30th

Closure of Rice County State Aid Highway No. 1 (110th St E) to through traffic from MN TH No. 3 (Faribault Blvd) to MN TH No. 246 (Dennison Blvd) is scheduled for Monday, April 30, 2018.  The road closure is expected to be in effect until November 2018.  Local traffic will be permitted; however, direction of travel will be restricted during construction operations.  Initial construction operations will be from the proposed roundabout at Highland Pkwy/Farrel Ave to the intersection with MN TH No. 3 (Faribault Blvd).

Residents of the Bridgewater Heights subdivision will begin using a temporary extension of Highland Parkway southerly to 115th St E on or about Monday, April 30, 2018.  No through or local access to CSAH No. 1 (110th St E) will be available during the 2018 construction season from Highland Parkway.

Residents of the Bittersweet Addition will begin using a temporary extension of Farrel Ave that will connect to CSAH No. 1 (110th St E) east of the existing intersection on or about Monday, April 30, 2018.   Ingress/egress will be from the east, via MN TH No. 246 (Dennison Blvd), during the first phase of construction.  As construction progresses, ingress/egress may be modified by the Contractor.

Residents located west of Highland Parkway and directly accessing CSAH No. 1, via private driveways, should expect to be contacted by the County’s contractor to discuss daily access during the first phase of construction.

Residents of the Wendwood subdivision will ingress/egress via Endwood Trail during the first phase of construction.  As construction progresses westerly, ingress/egress may be modified by the Contractor.

Residents east of Farrel Ave/Highland Parkway will ingress/egress from the east, via MN TH No. 246 (Dennison Blvd) until construction progresses easterly.  At that time, ingress/egress may be modified by the Contractor.

The posted detour for through traffic is MN TH No. 3 (Faribault Blvd) to MN TH No. 246 (Woodley St/Dennison Blvd).

A project website will be updated periodically and a link can be found on the Highway Department page of the Rice County website or at:  http://www.is-grp.com/csah1-ricecounty/
