Searching for Minnesota’s Native Wildflowers

On today’s 15 with the Author, Teri Knight’s guest is Phyllis Root, author of Searching for Minnesota’s Native Wildflowers.  She and photographer Kelly Povo, share their 10 years of visiting Minnesota’s woods, prairies, hillsides, lakes, and bogs for wildflowers.  This beautiful book is full of rarely found flowers and loaded with information on each of them. For hundreds of years these flowers have grown here, but with the loss of native habitat, they’re much harder to find.  In Minnesota Wildflowers, they share WHERE to find these gems.  The pair will be at Content Bookstore on Wednesday, the 13th at 7pm.  mnnativewildflowers.com
