Cole Younger by Gayle Lunning

The Defeat of Jesse James Days is coming up and the Northfield Historical Society will host a very special guest, Gayle Lunning.  He is the author of ‘Cole Younger’ and is Teri Knight’s guest today.  The novel begins with Cole as an old man, detailing his story to a young newspaper reporter.  It is written from Cole’s perspective, including some history of the Kansas/Missouri border war and Quantrill’s raiders.  Lunning discusses the fire in the Stillwater prison where Younger could’ve escaped.   gaylelunning.com
