Cannon Falls lifts State of Emergency – setting up Volunteer Day

On September 20, 2018 the City of Cannon Falls experienced a devastating storm that resulted in damage to power poles and trees, which left a large part of the city without power. Until the downed power lines were repaired it was unsafe for the City to request volunteer assistance.              That has been accomplished and the City of Cannon Falls has set Saturday, September 29th as a coordinated volunteer cleanup day. Details of the volunteer cleanup are still being finalized and will be posted on the City of Cannon Falls Facebook page, the Cannon Falls Police Department Facebook page, the City of Cannon Falls website and an updated press release will be sent out. The volunteer times Saturday would be 8am until 4pm, and a lunch will be provided to cleanup volunteers. Tree services that may wish to volunteer are asked to call 507-263-9305. All other persons interested in volunteering are asked to wait until Wednesday as details are finalized.   Please read the full Press Release below:
