Rice Co. landfill open extended hours for Yard Waste ONLY

As clean up from the recent storm continues for Rice County residents, we want to provide an update on yard waste disposal at the Rice County Solid Waste Facility.
Rice County Landfill will be open from 7:30 am. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th

.Extended Hours for YARD WASTE ONLY will be available from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Acceptable Yard Waste includes: Leaves, Brush, Grass Clippings, Branches, Twigs, Garden Residue

Unacceptable Yard Waste includes: NO bags (unless it’s compostable), NO lumber, NO rocks, NO stumps.

During these hours anyone brining municipal solid waste, demolition waste, appliances, electronics, tires or household hazardous waste will be turned away.

The Rice County Solid Waste Facility is located at 3800 East 145th St., Dundas. If you have questions you can call (507) 332-6833 or email RCSolidWaste@co.rice.mn.us
