Today in the ArtZany Radio studio Paula Granquist welcomes artist 2Fik, a Carleton College Center for Community and Civic Engagement Artist-in-Residence.
Art Zany! Radio for the Imagination 11-02-18
2Fik is a multidisciplinary artist. His work combines simultaneously photography, video, modeling, and performance art. In the same way that he deals in the multiplicities of forms, he tackles the multiplicities of identity. Whether he is directing the camera or the subject of a photograph, 2Fik confronts the boundaries placed around identities and the expectations on gender. Born in Paris to Moroccan parents, 2Fik now lives and works in Montreal, as a photographer, model, stylist, and artistic director — always encouraging people to question what they see.

Get ready to watch admiringly as our male friends and family members model empathy through risk taking and *really* learn to walk in someone else’s shoes, while sharing an experience men are very unlikely to live otherwise. All are welcome.
