Mike Krance, Executive Director of Northfield Shares talks about a $2.5 million endowment from the Pat Lamb estate. Pat was the women’s athletic director at Carleton College for many years. Northfield Shares will manage distribution of the funds. $1 million was given to the Carleton College Pat Lamb Endowed Tennis Fund, $150,000 to FiftyNorth, and $400,000 dedicated to establish EmpowHER, a program geared toward middle school girls to instill confidence, courage and character. There is also a Pat Lamb and Elle Hanson Charitable Fund that will benefit FiftyNorth, Wings, Northfield Public Library, YMCA, Northfield School District, St. Dominic’s School and Church and the Community Action Center.
