The Honey Bus – A memoir of loss, courage and a girl saved by bees

Teri Knight talks with Meredith May about her book,  “The Honey Bus – A Memoir of Loss, Courage and a Girl Saved by Bees”.  She was five years old, her parents had recently split and suddenly she found herself in the care of her grandfather, an eccentric beekeeper who made honey in a rusty old military bus in the yard. She talks about her mother’s mental illness and how her grandfather, who turned out not to be her biological grandfather, and the bees helped her understand the intricacies of family.  meredithamay.net
