NORTHFIELD (August 26, 2019) — Northfield Retirement Community is offering a program called “A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns About Falls in Northfield” for interested community members. These evidence-based programs help people with concerns about falling improve their quality of life and remain independent.

Together with other attendees, class participants will learn ways to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels. This program increases participants’ confidence in their ability to manage health behaviors that reduce the risk of falling.

Participants meet on Mondays and Thursdays for four weeks from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Classes begin Monday, September 16, and run through Thursday, October 10. They will be held in Kildahl Park Pointe – Common Room, 900 Cannon Valley Drive West, Northfield, MN 55057.

These classes are at no cost to participants and open to the public, but pre-registration is required by Friday, September 13. Please call Susan at (507) 664-7359 to register.

A $25 cash wellness incentive will be offered to participants who complete the program.
