Today in the ArtZany Radio studio Paula Granquist welcomes filmmaker, actor, writer, and coder Wendy Placko to talk about filmmaking and her new project The Dinner Party.

Wendy Placko is the filmmaker of Lady Parts – a series that takes on the subject matter of relationships between women: social situations, friendships, competition, belonging, alienation and more. This series features characters that engage in these topics with a feminist approach, all in a comedic and satirical tone. wendyplacko.com
Her films have also appeared for the past two years in the Film Score Fest (filmscorefest.org). The festival pairs a filmmaker with a composer to collaborate on work together. Teams create an original piece according to the festival theme, and the top short films are selected for a screening with a live orchestra accompanying the work. The 2018 theme was “Unreal” and she was paired with Jake Downing. In 2019 she was paired with Stephanie Henry and they showed The Eyes Have It.
