100 Drives, 5000 Ideas by Joe Yogerst

Out of the nearly 49 million people who traveled this past Fourth of July weekend, 41.4 million of them did so by hitting the road. Road trips represented 39{b5761be34e80a16b6d0e4dabc1869c131a263f96a745c82bebdd3b8a4330bfa9} of vacations taken by U.S. travelers.  Author and editor Joe Yogerst has worked on 36 National Geographic books, including the bestselling 50 States, 5000 Ideas and 100 Parks, 5,000 Ideas.  He’s my guest today with the latest in the series, 100 Drives, 5000 Ideas: Where to Go, When to Go, What to Do, What to See. He talks about some of his favorites (he’s been on all of these drives at one point or another) and shares some unusual, lesser known, sites to see!
