Rice County Accessing Social Services During the Coronavirus Pandemic

The News about the Coronavirus and the risks it poses for those who become infected is concerning to us all. During this challenging time, maintaining the health of our clients and staff is our number one priority at Rice County Social Services. To help reduce the potential transmission of Coronavirus we ask that you avoid coming into our office. Applying for the services we provide can be accomplished through the mail, email or telephone, and does not usually require a personal visit to our office.   If you need our assistance we ask you to consider the following:

For Childcare –       Call us at (507) 332-5995 and leave your name and address – we’ll mail you an application. 

For Cash or Food Assistance – Apply online at ApplyMN.DHS.MN.GOV
