COVID-19 and Access to Rice County Government Offices

The health and safety of staff and the entire community continues to be a priority for Rice County. Currently, office buildings remain open to the public but in an effort to protect the public and our employees we are requesting the following at this time:

To help reduce the potential transmission of Coronavirus we ask that you avoid any unnecessary in person visits to County Offices. Many service needs can be accomplished through the mail, email, online or by telephone, and would not require a personal visit to our offices. Please call (507) 332-6100 and we will connect you with someone who can provide guidance for your specific situation.

For your convenience, an exterior drop box is located on the north side of the Government Services Building located at 320 3rd St. NW for you to deposit payments or documents. We will be collecting those items several times per day.

In order to protect our customers, clients, and employees, we ask that if you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, please refrain from coming in to our offices until you are symptom free. You can call us at (507) 332-6100 for assistance in rescheduling appointments or obtaining information.

Further Information

This situation is rapidly changing and Rice County will continue to provide information as it becomes available. We have a link to a dedicated COVID-19 page on our website www.co.rice.mn.us where you can find information from Rice County Public Health, links to partner agencies and Rice County department specific announcements.

CONTACTS:

Sara Folsted, Rice County Administrator, (507) 332-6100
