Today we’re revisiting my interview with Brian Calhoun from April of 2019 about his children’s book, Little Joe Chickapig. The story follows Little Joe as he dreams of one day leaving the farm he’s grown up on. Brian’s imaginative tale soars across 32 illustrated pages featuring a space-traveling mouse, a musical dragon, and ultimately a lesson every parent wants their child to learn: follow your dreams, whatever they may be. Brian talks about how he went from crafting high-end acoustic guitars for musicians including Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Keith Urban to creating a board game called Chickapig and writing a children’s book!
