No Time For Fame will perform at Imminent Brewing, 519 Division Street South, Northfield, MN on Saturday, June 10, 6pm – 9pm

With their feet soundly rooted in classic American rock, the Minnesota-based band No Time For Fame dishes out guitar-driven tunes with smart, contemporary lyrics laced with playful riffs and rhythmic interludes.

The band was formed in 2016 by Chris Ash (vocals), Mark Hovey (guitar) and Dan Mills (drums) from the ashes of their previous project, the similarly-minded Toaster Fork!, with the addition and Mike Meehan (guitar). Alan Lifson (bass) joined in 2021. Songwriting duties are shared between Chris, Mike, and Alan, and their songs share a contemplative perspective on modern life propelled by the forward motion of their irrepressible optimism and energetic guitar lines.

No Time For Fame’s 2021 self-titled EP shows off the band’s eclectic range. Their recent single, Save It For Arizona, speaks to the promise of future joys amid the day to day struggles we all face. Live sets feature their original uptempo rock numbers with the occasional cover, just to remind you where they came from. From tight rockers with layered backing vocals punctuated by punchy guitar riffs, to jaunty but thoughtful explorations of life and meaning annotated by searing guitar solos, the band’s eclectic range and energetic stage shows keep audiences guessing and coming back for more. Vocals, Guitar / Chris Ash Guitar / Mark Hovey Guitar / Mike Meehan Bass, Vocals / Alan Lifson
