Randolph teenager dies in a one car accident Wednesday morning

A 17-year-old Randolph boy was killed this morning in a one car rollover accident.

According to the Dakota County Sheriff’s office, shortly before 8am Wednesday morning, the 17-year-old driver, who was the lone occupant in the vehicle, was traveling north on State Highway 56 near Dakota County Road 88 when the vehicle left the road and rolled. The boy was ejected from the vehicle. The statement said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol responded.

The Minnesota State Patrol is the lead investigating agency. A statement released by the State Patrol office said the boy’s identity will be released at a later date.

The members of the Dakota County Sheriff’s office extended their sympathies to the victim’s family and friends.
