The Northfield Union of Youth Remains Active in September with Several Volunteer Events and New Halloween Event

The Northfield Union of Youth is remaining active and busy for September and October. This year for the first time in many years the union will be walking in the Defeat of Jesse James Days parade giving out candy and other swag items. Later in the month, the group will be volunteering at the Hispanic Heritage Celebration where they will have a booth with several different giveaway items, the highlight though will be a cotton candy-making station. Volunteers from the Union of Youth will also be at the Northfield Hospital’s Cancer Survivor Event this month.

New this year, the Union of Youth will be hosting the Free-key Haunted House on the weekend before Halloween which is October 25th – 27th. On the Friday night of the event, it will be a kid-friendly haunted house for the Saturday and Sunday night the Haunted House will shift to a classic horror movie theme. The event is planned entirely by the youth in the organization from setup, to planning, and to marketing giving the youth a chance to learn how to organize an event. More details about the event will be posted in October.
