DJJD Event Through the Weekend Summary:

Tonight the carnival will open up at 5pm, Bridgesquare Bingo will start at 6pm, Mister Peabody will take the stage in the Entertainment Center at 8:30pm. The Bank Raid Reenactment will start tonight at 6pm with a second reenactment at 7pm. Their will be 4 bank raid reenactments on Saturday at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. Sunday Bank reenactments will be at 11am and 12:30pm. Bleacher seats are available with a DJJD Button, buttons are available for sale in many stores downtown or at the DJJD Information Booth in Bridge Square. 

The first of three rodeos is tonight at 8pm. It is “Give Cancer the Boot” Night, a fundraiser for Northfield Hospital and Clinics Breast Cancer and Infusion centers. Donations are encouraged at the event. There will be a special giveaway for the first 300 paid admissions from CarTime Auto Center and ReMax Advantage Plus. Saturday there will be two rodeos first at 2pm with free cowboy hates for the first 400 kids at the event sponsored by Edina Realty. Thats followed by the last rodeo Saturday night at 8pm with the “Tribute to First Responders Night.” General admission tickets are available at Northfield Automotive, Family Fare, and Ziggys, they can also be purchased 2 hours before the show, on the rodeo grounds. Tickets cost $25 for adults, and children age 3-10 tickets cost $15. 

The Arts and Craft Show at Central Park also starts at 9am and The Riverwalk Fine Arts Festival will start at 10am, both run all day Saturday and Sunday. 

Of course the main event Sunday will be the Grand Parade which starts at 2pm, running from the High School all the way through downtown. 15 minutes after the parade will the the Fire Department’s Duck Race. Tickets for the race are $5 and can be purchased at the BINGO Stand or from a firefighter any time during the weekend. The whole of the public is welcome to watch the race along the river.
