The Defeat of Jesse James Days is Minnesota’s third-largest celebration. From the start on Wednesday with the memorial service for Joseph Lee Heywood, there have been 3 rodeos, a horseshoe hunt, 28 hours of Bridge Square Bingo, countless different deep fried foods, 8 Bank Raid Reanacments, a soup box derby race, a Grand Parade and a Rubber Duck Race to name just a few of the many different events. In the photos below see just a few of those events and memories from this past celebration.
Below are several different slideshows; most of the pictures were taken by KYMN’s Logan Wells, but several are from a friend of KYMN, Aramis Wells of Flashover Photography, and used with his permission. You can view Flashover Photography’s Facebook page here.
Bank Raid Reenactments
The Bank Raid Reenacment slideshow is split into halves: the 6pm Friday Reenacment and the 3pm Saturday Reenacment. Both are ordered so that photos appear in the order of how they would have happened during the reenactment.
