The Northfield Public Schools continues to provide information about the High School Renovation Referendum. Tomorrow evening they will be hosting a unique tour of the Northfield Community Education Center (NCEC) which is in the former Greenvale Park Elementary School building and a tour of the new Greenvale Park Elementary School. The tour is meant as an opportunity to show what the impact on student experience can be with updated facilities. The tour will start Thursday evening at 5:30pm in the NCEC and will finish at Greenvale.
The public schools continue to host high school tours to learn more about the renovation project. The high school tours are an incredibly informative opportunity starting with a short presentation, followed by a visit to several different spaces in the school including regular classrooms, science labs, culinary class space, the wood working, metal working, and auto mechanic shop, music space, and gym too see the issues with the current space and what improvements the renovation would offer. Also, along the way the safety and HVAC issues will also be shown. The tour is led by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Matt Hillmann and voters will have an opportunity to talk with him and ask any questions.
The next tour is on Oct. 7th at 6pm, enter door number 10 and signs will direct you to the media center where the tour will start. Additional tours will be on October 15th, the 24th, and November 2nd. Public Q&A sessions will be in the High School auditorium on October 8th and October 22nd.
