Examples of the Digital Division Posters

You may have noticed around Northfield new signs appearing in the windows of businesses downtown. The Northfield History Center has recently launched a new project called Digital Division to “capture the stories of the buildings, businesses, and people who have defined Northfield.” The research, writing, and website design for this project were conducted by interns Aya Myint and Henry Vrtis this past summer. Digital Division includes information about 53 different buildings downtown. Each building has its own web page with historical pictures of the building, information about the building over time, and audio tours. Located on the outside of most buildings downtown is a black sign labeled Digital Division with a historical image and large QR Code; scan the code and that will take you to a webpage about the building. You can also find the online archive on the history center website: northfieldhisotry.org and click the “Digital Division” button on the home page.
