The Rice County Sheriff’s Office is again announcing that a memorial scholarship for late Rice County Sheriff Dave Schweisthal is again being offered to Rice County Students who are pursuing a law enforcement career. Schweisthal, who retired in 1997, was sheriff for 17 of his 33-year career with the Rice County Sheriff’s Office.
