With Halloween just a few days away, there are several events coming up in the next week for the kids and the family!

The City of Dundas will once again host a Trunk or Treat celebration this year. The celebration takes place Friday evening from 6pm to 7pm at Memorial Park in Dundas. The Dundas Parks and Recreation Board, area businesses, and organizations will be at the event with decorated car trunks ready to hand out candy and prizes.

The Northfield Area Family YMCA will be hosting several events. On Friday evening, the Y will host their Halloween Middle School night from 7:30pm to 10pm, with games, food, music, and prizes. The cost is $10 per person, and you can register online at northfieldymca.org

On Saturday, the YMCA will host its Fall Fest from 9 a.m. to Noon. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and participate in games, cookie decorating, popcorn, a bounce house, and more. The event will take place in the YMCA’s gym.

The Northfield Y also hosts two additional events on Saturday with additional costs. First is the Zombie 5K walk and run. Check-in starts at 8am, and the event starts at 9am. Cost is $20 for YMCA members and $40 for anyone else. Later that morning will be the Floating Pumpkin Patch from 11am to Noon, where you can choose and decorate a pumpkin. The cost is $10.

Two other trunk-or-treat events will take place across Northfield next week. On Sunday, the Northfield High School Student Council will host its Trunk or Treat event in the upper parking lot of the High School from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hosanna Church in Dundas will be hosting a trunk or treat event this Sunday from 4 to 6pm.
