Last Tour of Northfield High School on Saturday

By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net

Since March, Northfield Public Schools has hosted 91 information events about the High School Renovation Referendum. On Saturday, they will host their last information event, a tour of the high school. The tour starts at 10 a.m. and goes until Noon. Enter through door number 10, and signs will direct you to the media center.

The high school tour is an opportunity to see many of the different spaces in the school and how they would benefit from the renovation. Safety issues and HVAC problems will also be pointed out along the way. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Matt Hillmann leads the tour, and members of the public will have an opportunity to ask him questions.

At Monday’s school board meeting, addressing the board, Hillmann shared his goal from the last several months:

Our goal from the beginning was to have an informed electorate that’s what we care about we want people to know what we’re asking for why we’re asking for what the impact of it is if it passes what’s the potential impact if it doesn’t and at the end of the day now it is in the voters hands and we have done everything I think that a reasonable person could say that. We could do. And we’ve we are at the point where democracy works.” – Superintendent of Schools Dr. Matt Hill at the 10/28/2024 School Board Meeting
