On Thursday, students from Carleton College’s Archaeology Methods and Labs will be sharing their latest discoveries from the excavation of the Women’s League Cabin in the Cowling Arboretum. The event is a preview of Carleton’s Archaeology day they are having on November 19th, where audience members will get to see artifacts and other unearthed items from the site. There will be a Q&A session about the project as well.

Next week on Tuesday, November 12th from 6pm to 8pm, the library will host the event Making America: Latino Poetry, Writing, and Placemaking in the United States. University of Minnesota, Prof. Osiris Gómez will examine a central theme in Latino literature: writing as a place-making strategy in the United States.

The library’s teen program remains active and Director of LIbrary Services Natatlie Draper said that she had seen positive comments about their program Teen Tuesday.

When somebody was asking for places for their middle schooler to find their people just trying to find healthy friendships and supportive environments and place to meet new friends and folks in the comments, we’re recommending various things in the committee, but also Team Tuesdays at the library.
