While the Holiday season may seem far away, local non-profits are hard at work to ensure that every family and child has the best holidays possible. Community Action Center’s (CAC) Operation Joy is a program through which approximately 1,000 Northfield area children from over 500 households will receive gifts this year. Gifts are available for children 1 through age 18 who may need additional support this holiday season. Children also receive a book of their choosing from Content Bookstore and a quilt made by local volunteers.
The gift distribution for Operation Joy this year is set to happen on December 11th, but the CAC is asking that families looking for support this season register by Friday, November 15th. The CAC is also looking for donations to be in by November 15th to help them plan ahead.
