Free Indoor Working Opportunities Available in Northfield

By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net

With the start of the winter season, Age Friendly Northfield has been working to provide free physical fitness opportunities for people inside to avoid ice, snow, and the cold. First is the high school walking course. The walking course is open only on School Days from 6am to 7am or from 3:30pm to 5pm, however you must enter by 4:30pm. Use the main entrance off of Division Street.

Also available at the high school for free is Sunday Pickleball; here’s CC Linstroth of Age-Friendly Northfield:

“We have Sunday pickleball free no registration it’s already started on Sundays from noon until 4:00 at the high school we can get 6 courts there. –  CC Linstroth of Age Friendly Northfield on the KYMN Morning Show

For the high school pickleball, enter through door number 10. Bridgewater’s gym will also be open for beginner courses for those new to pickleball. That takes place at the same time on Sundays as the pickleball at the high school.

Another indoor walking course available for free is the Methodist Mile, hosted by the Northfield United Methodist Church. Starting on January 7th, every Tuesday and Thursday, the church will be open for walking from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
