Northfield Rotary Club’s Turkey Trot Tomorrow

By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net

Tomorrow is the 24th year of the Northfield Rotary Club’s Turkey Trot. The Turkey Trot will begin at Carleton College’s Weitz Center at 9 am on Thanksgiving. The course then winds through the northeast section of town. The cost of the race is $30. Runners and walkers can sign up in person at the Weitz Center on the race day, beginning at 8 am.

Event organizer Scott Richardson described the environment of the event:

“And it’s such a collegial atmosphere. But, you know, you’ll see people. Who run into people that graduated from high school with, went to, went to elementary school with and I always said it’s kind of Facebook before Facebook” – Event Organizer Scott Richardson on the KYMN Morning Show (11/8/2024)

The funds from the event go to support the Rotary Exchange program.

For teams who registered early, t-shirt pickup is tonight from 5:30pm to 7pm at the Weitz Center. The Rotary Club asks that teams pick up their shirts early to help reduce congestion ahead of the race.

The event starts Thanksgiving morning at 9am.
