“As Bob Gregory Bjorkland our long time, he was our arts coordinator, our theater Director, Fantastic Human being. He would call it: it’s wild, it’s zany, it’s ThanksGive.” – Executive Director of Arcadia Charter School Laura Stelter on the KYMN Morning Show
Tonight at Arcadia Charter School will be one of the school’s most beloved events and traditions, ThanksGive. Arcadia is a middle school and high school in Northfield that is focused on project-based learning.
You can learn more about Arcadia in KYMN’s interview with Executive Director Laura Stelter here.
ThanksGive has been an event at Arcadia for over 15 years now and is one of the school’s main fundraising events for the year. The fundraiser involves most of the school’s students, teachers, and staff in a series of performances and games to raise money. Students organize and lead the event.
The main event is when the school’s four advisories (comparable to traditional home rooms in school) each make a performance based on a theme. Then the audience “votes” for the best performance by donating money.
ThanksGive starts tonight at 7pm at Arcadia Charter School.
