Ornament Hunt 2024 – Clue #1

Below is a short explanation of the hunt, and clue #1.

The clues follow the tune of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and the angel ornament reflects the theme. Neither the song nor the ornament contains hidden meaning, nor do the hyphens added to fit the melody.

Embark on the enchanting Winter Walk Ornament Hunt – the official kickoff to Winter Walk! Starting at 8 am on Monday, December 9th, the hunt begins with the first clue leading you on a festive journey. Clues can be found below, along with the Northfield News’ website, KYMN, and Facebook pages.  Follow the clues revealed each day through Tuesday and Wednesday, culminating in the final clue on Thursday. This year’s ornament is in the form of an angel and is 4.5″ tall, 2-3″ wide- Let the holiday adventure begin! The winner receives $1000 Chamber Bucks.  The event is generously sponsored by Northfield WIFI, POST, Northfield Retirement Community & Metronet. Thank you so much and good luck.

Clue #1

Hark! it’s time for Winter Wa-alk,

Much to do, no time to gawk;

Frosted windows, lighted tree-es,

Horses hooves, and bustling streets!

So much joy that can be spre-ead,

Find a place to lay your hea-ad;

It’s a trip that we all share,

Young and old, a winter fair!

Hark! It’s time for Winter Walk,

Much to do, no time to gawk!
