Just Food Co-op Celebrates 20 Years

By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net

On Sunday, Just Food Co-op will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The coop was founded by a group of Northfield residents who were eager to bring natural foods and responsibly sourced products to the community. Since then, Just Foods has grown to be owned by 4,000 families in the area and employs 60 people.

Carla Johnson, the current board president, described the coop membership “is like being part of a great big family.”

Just Food’s General Manager Matt Kappra noted that 75% of retail businesses fail in their first 15 years and that it was an incredible accomplishment to continue to grow.  (Statements from Just Food 20th Anniversary Video)

To celebrate, Just Food, will be hosting a small celebration this afternoon from 1pm to 3pm with cake. They also are launching an exclusive 20th Anniversary grocery bag.

Congratulations to Just Foods on this incredible accomplishment
