City of Northfield Declares a Snow Emergency; Winter Weather Alerts for Thursday, December 19th, 2024

City of Northfield Snow Emergency:

The City of Northfield has declared a snow emergency effective 8:00 p.m. December 19 until 3:00 p.m. December 22.

During a snow emergency, there is no parking on any city street until the weather system has passed and the street is plowed curb-to-curb, which requires equipment to plow the street multiple times. Vehicles parked on the street will be ticketed with the potential of being towed during a snow emergency.

Trash and recycling bins are not allowed on city streets.

When parking lots are scheduled for snow removal, there is no parking in the lots from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All downtown parking lot permit holders must park in the city lots during a snow emergency.

  • Residential streets will be plowed on December 20
  • Downtown snow removal will be on December 21
  • Snow removal in all downtown parking lots will be on December 22

City of Dundas Winter Parking Ordinance:

Unlawful to park motor vehicles, equipment, and structure on a street or alley in the Dundas city limits between 2:00am – 6:30am. Dundas City Code §71.06(B)(2)

City of Faribault Snow Emergency:

The City of Faribault has declared a snow emergency for Friday, Dec. 20, from 1:00 a.m. through 8:00 a.m. or until plowed curb to curb, whichever occurs later. Unattended vehicles may be ticketed and/or towed

City of Lonsdale Snow Emergency:

A snow emergency has been declared on 12-19-2024 for the City of Lonsdale and will remain in effect until all city streets are plowed curb to curb.
