St. Olaf & Carleton College Welcome Students Back From Winter Break

Northfield has been quiet for the last several weeks, with students from the two colleges out of town on Winter Break. However, the over 5,000 students have been returning to City of Cows, Colleges, and Content.

Students at St. Olaf College have already returned to campus for the school’s January or J-Term. The regular Spring Term starts on February 6th. St. Olaf had a relatively short winter break which started on December 18th, compared to Carleton College whose winter break began on November 26th. Carleton students start classes today in their Winter Trimester. 

St. Olaf’s Commencement is scheduled for May 24th, and Carleton’s Commencement is scheduled for June 14th. 

St. Olaf brings 3,000 students, and Carleton brings 2,000 to Northfield, the students come from across the United States and over 60 different countries.
