Meet The First Baby From Northfield Born in 2025

Brian Garmaker Jr. was Northfield’s first baby of 2025. Parents Brian and Ruth welcomed their son on Thursday, January 2 at the Birth Center at the Northfield Hospital. 

“We waited for him for so long,” says Ruth, who experienced pregnancy losses before Brian Jr. was born. “He’s a miracle. He completes our family.”

The birth “was a heavenly experience,” Brian Sr. says. “The highlight of my life. I kept saying ‘Hallelujah!’ because I was just so happy. ”

Brian Jr. has three older brothers at home, from Ruth’s previous marriage.

Ruth thanked everyone at the hospital: “I thank everyone here at the hospital and clinic for all the care, kindness and love, and the help they have given us,”

“And I thank the Lord our baby is healthy and happy.” 

“I do believe miracles exist.”
