PREVIOUS STORY (1/28/2025): Legally Blonde is the Next Show at the Northfield Arts Guild, Purple Door Theater, Offers Opportunity for Youth To Learn About The Theater

Legally Blonde Jr. Edition opens tonight at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater, and 5 of the seven shows are currently sold out. In this fun and upbeat comedy, Harvard’s beloved blonde takes the stage by glittery pink storm. The show’s instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit, and sass — leaving cast members and audiences alike filled with fun. The show is part of the arts guild’s Purple Door Theater, which works to involve youth in all aspects of the production of a show. This also means it includes youth of all ages learning about theater. Here’s the guilds performing arts director Pauline Jennings:

“It’s not like a regular rehearsal, It’s more educational than regular rehearsals because they learn about all the aspects of theater… And so kids learn acting, tech roles, and performance. They all do, even if they’re not acting. They’re not doing tech.” – Pauline Jennings, Performing Arts Director of the Northfield Arts Guild on the KYMN Morning Show

The two remaining shows with tickets available are both on Saturday, March 1st, at 2pm and at 7pm. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $16 for students and seniors. You can purchase the tickets on the guild’s website: https://northfieldartsguild.org/live-music-and-theater-is-just-a-click-away/ you can also purchase tickets by stopping by the arts guild store on Division Street or by calling 507-645-8877

The show takes place at the guild’s theater at 411 Third Street West, in Northfield.

You can also hear the recording of KYMN’s ArtZany with the cast of the show
