Northfield Raider Boys Hockey Team Competes in the Quarterfinals at State Today

The Northfield Raider Boys Hockey team is off to the state hockey tournament today. After defeating Rochester Lourdes 2-0 to win the Section 1A Championship, the Raiders now take on the Orono Spartans in the Quarterfinals. The Raiders are 22-4-2 on the season, Orono has gone 15-10-3 this season. If the Raiders were to win today’s game, they would advance to the Semifinals against either St. Cloud Cathedral or Mahtomedi on Friday at 11am. The state championship game is set to be played on Saturday at Noon. 

Today’s game in the quarterfinals for the Raiders takes place at 1 pm, at the Xcel Energy Center. You can tune into that game on KYMN Radio, with Jimmy LaRue on the call.
