Northfield Public Library Hosts Poetry Reading & Writing Workshop

The Northfield Public Library will host a poetry reading and writing workshop next week. The program will be lead by Osiris Gomez a University of Minnesota Spanish and Portuguese Studies professor. Participants will engage in a poetry reading and interpretation experience that includes co-writing a new version of a selected poem.

This program is presented as part of Latino Poetry: Places We Call Home, a major public humanities initiative taking place across the nation in 2024 and 2025, directed by Library of America and funded with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and Emerson Collective.

The program will take place on Thursday, from 6:30pm to 7:45pm. This program will be held at Greenvale Park Elementary school in partnership with the Northfield Community School.
