Rice County to Offer Skywarn Storm Training on March 24th

With spring approaching, local organizations are preparing weather-related trainings.  On March 24th the Rice County Sheriff’s Office will host a Skywarn Storm Spotter Training. The training includes the basics of thunderstorm developments, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather, how to report information, and basic severe weather safety. 

The event takes place from 6 pm – 9 pm on March 24th at the Rice County Public Safety Center at 50 East View Drive, Faribault, Minnesota. The event is free to attend, registration is not required by preferred. You can do so by emailing: rcem@ricecountymn.gov 

The event is hosted by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office and the  City of Faribault Fire Department
