Hometown Credit Union Names New CEO: Chad Corcoran

Hometown Credit Union this week announced that Chad Corcoran has been named the new President and CEO of the organization. This follows the retirement of the organization’s previous leader, Kim Westphal. Chad Corcoran has been with HomeTown Credit Union for nine years. With over 16 years of experience in the financial industry, Chad has been instrumental in the credit union’s expansion, overseeing a $160 million increase in assets, a $125 million growth in loans, and an expansion of membership eligibility to a 26-county area.

“I am honored to step into the role of CEO and continue building on the strong foundation that Kim and our team have created,” said Chad Corcoran. “HomeTown Credit Union is committed to innovation, growth, and delivering exceptional service to our members and communities.”

Nicole Schulz, Chair of the Board of Directors, emphasized the Board’s confidence in Chad, stating, “Chad’s leadership, vision, and deep understanding of HomeTown’s values make him the perfect fit for this role. We are grateful for Kim’s extraordinary leadership and her unwavering dedication to our members. Her impact will be felt for years to come.”

Hometown Credit Union is based out of Owatonna and currently has 25,000 members across Southern Minnesota. The credit union expanded to Northfield, building its current location in 2020.

FiftyNorth – The Band at the Grand

Saturday, April 5, 2025 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm – FiftyNorth Band performs on Saturday, April 5, 6:30-8 pm at The Grand Event Center.
