On Monday at approximately 3:38 pm, Northfield Area Fire and Rescue Services were dispatched to a house fire in Northfield. According to initial reports, the fire started in the garage before moving into the rest of the house. Initial fire department units were on the scene in 5 minutes, with water on the fire within 10 minutes of the call. No injuries were reported from the call.

The Faribault Fire Department assisted Northfield with the call. Firefighters were on the scene for approximately 2.5 hours.
