On Thursday at approximately 11:41, Northfield Area Fire and Rescue Services (NAFRS) was dispatched to a car fire at the Country Inn & Suites Hotel in Northfield. The driver was reported to be safely out of the vehicle.
Northfield Police and NAFRS responded to the call within 2 minutes of being dispatched. Water was on the fire and under control in 8 minutes. The right lane on Highway 3 was temporarily shut down to make space for the fire engines to work. Along with the smoke from the fire, traffic on Highway 3 was temporarily delayed traveling through town.
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately 25 minutes. No injuries were reported from the call.
