Northfield Public Library Hosts Several Events For Spring Break

By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net

With spring break this week for Northfield area students, the Northfield Public Library is offering several events for this week.

Tomorrow the Library will host Teem Movie Marathon starting at 1pm and going all afternoon. The library will show Freaky Friday at 1pm and Legally Blonde at 3pm with snacks throughout the event. The event takes place in the Bunday Room and is for kids ages 11-18. Both movies are the PG version.

On Wednesday, there will be the Spring Break Crafternoon for Teens. The event combines casual crafting, including button making, needle felting, pom pom making, crocheting, or whatever else the group is interested in. It takes place from 2pm to 4pm in the Bunday Room. Registration is required in advance.

On Thursday, there will be the Drop-In Science Activities with St. Olaf’s STEMQuest. The event will include several different science experiments and demonstrations and is meant for ages five and up, but all are welcome. STEMQuest takes place in the Bunday room from 1pm to 3pm. After the science activities, the library will have Game On! With different games for 6 to 11 year olds from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

On Friday, Minnesota’s Jack Sparrow will present a spot-on impersonation, teaching about pirate and nautical history and showing different artifacts from sunken ships. Registration is required in advance. The event takes place on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m.

As with all library events, the program is free, even if registration is required. You can registrar and see all of the library events by going to mynpl.org
