Tonight, the Northfield Public Schools is hosting a Public Forum about the budget reductions. The meeting takes place at the Northfield Middle School from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. The forum will start in the auditorium with a 30-minute presentation by district leadership about the budget. Then, from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm will be small group discussions with school board members and administrators, these will take place in classrooms, and then from 7:45 pm to 8:30 pm will be a public comment section in the auditorium.
The meeting will not be recorded. However, KYMN News will be there, and we will have reports for you in future newscasts.
The district is actively welcoming feedback from the public. School Board member Ben Miller stated that it’s an important rig ht that people have to share their voice:
“It really does make an impact in terms of letting the board understand where the community is. We had a lot of good input from the groups that put this together, and we appreciate that…. I would invite people to exercise that right that they have and reach out and share their thoughts and opinions.” – Ben Miller, Northfield School Board Member, KYMN News Special
You can also share input by emailing the board at: board@northfieldschools.org
