The Northfield High School will be hosting Arts à la Carte on Friday evening. The event is an exciting evening filled with several events, including art making, musical performances, a student gallery show, door prizes, and food. Kathrine Norrie, one of the art teachers at the High School, stated that this is the 23rd year of Arts à la Carte and that the program is run and supported by the students:
“It is the high school students who are in the arts, so in the Fine Arts who put on essentially a giant arts carnival, for the community, and last year we had 1200 people show up and enjoy the evening.” – Kathrine Norrie, Northfield High School Arts Teacher, on Raider Wrap

Norrie said that she had over 20 honor students among those who support the program. Among some of the other events include clay wheel lessons, a film festival, face painting, paper marbling, mini wood paintings, the honors students art booth, and much more.
The event is open to art lovers of all ages. The cost is $5 per person, and proceeds from admissions and concessions go to support the Fine Arts Booster Club.
Arts à la Carte takes place tomorrow night from 5:30pm to 9pm at the Northfield High School.
