This week marks Severe Weather Awareness Week, and today, Minnesota will conduct two tornado drills as part of the observance. These drills aim to encourage residents to review their safety plans and consider how they would respond to a tornado at home, work, or school. Here’s Kevin Reed, he is the interim director of Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management:
“Just make sure you take the time during this week in a less stressful environment to look at what you would do in any of the events that we’re talking about over the week. Just take one talk with your family, how would you respond, notify people to figure out your plan.” – Kevin Reed, interim director of Minnesota Homeland Security & Emergency Management, audio from the Minnesota News Network
The drills will be conducted today at 1:45pm and 6:45pm.
