The Northfield School Board meets tonight, the main item on the agenda will be a discussion of the $6 million in proposed budget reductions. The board will have a discussion about the budget reductions tonight and then a longer discussion next Monday during a Work Session meeting, and will approve the final budget April 28th.
Also on the agenda will be a discussion of the Debt Service Fund and the Internal Service Fund. Both of these are separate and regulated budgets from the general fund and are not undergoing the budget reductions. Tonight will only ba a discussion and no vote will be taken until the May 27th School Board meeting.
The board will also hear an update on the High School Construction Project and an Enrollment Report upstate.
If you are interested in attending the school board meeting, the meetings are held in the District Office Board Room; use Door #2 located on the north side of the District Office on 2nd Street West. The meetings are also streamed live on Zoom; you can find the link to the video in the agenda at Northfieldschools.org, recordings of the meetings are also posted on the district’s YouTube page.
The meeting tonight starts at 6pm.
