Tonight, the arts department at Carleton College will be hosting a screening of the film Out There: A National Parks Story. The music for the film was made by Elizabeth PW and Northfielder Dylan McKinstry. The film follows two childhood friends taking a 10,000 mile road trip through the U.S. national parks, revealing a profound tapestry of stories from the people they meet along the way. The documentary is a heartfelt journey through the human stories, stewardship, and spirit of adventure that define America’s natural wonders.
Since Out There’s premiere at the Florida Film Festival, winning the festival’s audience choice, it has had a sweeping run at festivals across the country winning a number of awards. The film is now working with non-profits, universities, theaters, and other venues across the country who seek to create unforgettable experiences and connection to the natural world. The film has headlined several film festivals.
The screening tonight is free and will take place in the Cinema at the Weitz Center for Creativity at Carleton College. The screening starts at 7pm.
