The Northfield School Board meets tonight for a work session meeting to discuss the $6 million proposed budget reductions. Since the meeting is a work session, no votes will be taken. Instead, it is a time for the board to have a longer discussion about the issue. This is in lead up to next week’s school board meeting, when the board will approve the final budget cuts.
Because of the format of the work session, the meeting will not be broadcast on Zoom or recorded. KYMN will be there and will have a report of the meeting later in the week.
If you are interested in attending the school board meeting, the meetings are held in the District Office Board Room; use Door #2 located on the north side of the District Office on 2nd Street West.
Tonight’s work session meeting starts at 5pm. Next Monday, the board will vote on the final budget reductions, that meeting starts at 6pm.
